The World or the Word: TRUST

Why would I need the Wonderful Counselor? There are thousands of trained psychologists I could go to.

Why would I need to trust the Lord to grow the church? I’ve got marketing and business degrees and have literally hundreds of books and conferences to choose from on the subject.

Why would I need to trust the Lord to be my Great Provider? I can play the investment market with the best of them.

Why would I want the joy of the Lord? Every time I buy something, I’m filled with plenty of happiness.

Why would I ask the Lord for His Wisdom? After all, I’ve got 24/7 access to Google.

Why spend time studying God’s Word for myself? All my favorite preachers are just one click away.

“But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all Your works.” Psalm 73:28

“You that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: He is their help and their shield.” Psalm 115:11

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.” Proverbs 3:5-7

“The fear of man brings a snare: but whoso puts his trust in the LORD shall be safe.” Proverbs 29:25
